When the website is the business: accounts, payments, documents and dashboards, built in Django and run for you.
Customers, staff and admins each get their own login and see only what they should: a customer portal for them, the full picture for you.
Cards, Apple and Google Pay, Direct Debit and subscriptions. Nothing is sent until the payment is confirmed, and nothing is charged twice.
Contracts, invoices, confirmations and reminders, generated from your templates and sent the moment they are needed, with no one in the middle.
Your bank, accounting, calendar and email connected through their APIs, so every record is entered once and stays in sync. An API of its own when you need one.
Two of our own platforms, exactly as their customers see them today. Hover to scroll through either one, or click to have a look around.Tap either one to scroll through it, or use the button under it to visit.
UK Name Change has changed more than 160,000 names so far, each order going from payment to a delivered document in under four minutes with no one touching it in between: read the case study. More of our platform work, with what each one was built to do, is in the portfolio.
Most platforms we build start from one of three places. Find yours, and you’ll see what we’d build first.
What we’d build first: The one journey that makes money: a customer arrives, pays, and gets what they paid for, with no one touching it in between.
UK Name Change started exactly here. What we’d build first: The self-serve version of what your team already does, with their admin screens behind it, so a customer can start, pay and finish without waiting for anyone.
The Golf Cabin’s customers book and pay for a bay this way, day or night. What we’d build first: The system that replaces the spreadsheet, with your existing data moved in and the people who use it given their own logins.
Tenancy Pilot is this, for landlords.Don't just take our word for it - here's what business owners say after launching their custom Django platform with us.
What founders and business owners ask us before starting a platform: what it costs, how long an MVP takes, who owns the code and the data, who looks after it once it is live, and whether we take over existing platforms or work with agencies. Answered the way we would on a call.
It depends on what the first version has to do, but building in stages keeps the cost down: you pay for what the business needs now, not every feature at once. The price comes down to how many kinds of user it has, whether it takes payments or subscriptions, what it has to produce (documents, emails, reports) and which tools it connects to. If a business website or an online shop would do the job, we will say so. After a free 30-minute call we write up what the first version should do and what it costs, so you know the figure before anything is built.
As a rough guide: a few weeks for an MVP built around one simple journey, and a few months for one with several kinds of user or connected tools. An MVP (minimum viable product) is the one journey your business needs, working end to end, and you try it on a staging site as it comes together. You don't need a specification first: we work it out with you on the first call, and our guide to planning a web app shows what we will ask. UK Name Change started the same way: one journey, from form to payment to emailed document.
Yes. Once the project is paid for, the code we write, the database, and the hosting, domain and payment accounts are all yours. There are no per-user licence fees and nothing to rent. We build in Django, the open-source Python framework behind our own platforms and this website, so any competent Python developer can pick it up and you are never locked in to us. Our guide to building a SaaS MVP in Django explains the choice.
We do. We host it, monitor it, back it up daily and keep it secure, and we fix any bugs free for the first 30 days. Every step is logged, documents are encrypted, no payment is ever taken twice, and we restore a backup for real to prove it works. After that, a maintenance and support plan keeps all of that running, and new features are added month by month on the same codebase, each one priced before work starts. When you want more customers, we run the same SEO and paid ads that bring customers to our own platforms.
No. We only look after platforms we build ourselves. Taking on someone else’s code means guessing at decisions we did not make, and we would rather not look after a platform than look after it badly. If yours needs a new home, we can rebuild it in Django in stages, move your data across, and look after it from there. Our website security checklist shows the checks every platform we run gets.
Yes. We take on white-label Django development for agencies, under your brand and with an NDA signed first. You keep the client relationship and the credit. Ask us about white-label work.
Tell us what your business needs to do and we’ll say what we’d build first, what it would cost and how long it would take.
